Jitendra Kumar, loved as Jeetu Bhaiya in ‘Kota Factory’ and Sachiv ji in ‘Panchayat’, is stepping into a psychological thriller. And not just any thriller; one that plays with memory, truth, love, loss, and illusion.
The film is titled ‘Dalimb’, and it promises to explore blurred lines between what is real and what only feels real.
Holi reveal with a twist
The first look was unveiled by streaming platform ZEE5 on Holi. But instead of celebration vibes, the poster came with a warning.
The makers shared: “Rangon ke beech ek aisa rahasya jo kabhi dikhta nahin. This Holi, the colour isn’t celebration it’s a warning. #DALIMB – The myth is watching. Coming soon, only on #ZEE5 #DalimbOnZEE5.”
The film is a collaboration between Hindi ZEE5 and Ellipsis Entertainment. The premiere is scheduled for later in 2026.
What drew him to the role?
Jitendra Kumar shared that he first heard the narration at the Ellipsis office last year. He said he was immediately pulled in by the honesty of the story and the depth of his character.
According to him, Suraaj has a very different emotional graph. He believes audiences will connect strongly with it. He also described working with the team including Priya, Tanuj and Atul. Now, he is simply waiting for viewers to experience the film.
‘Dalimb’ is directed and written by ‘Priya Aven’, marking her feature directorial debut. Dialogues are written by Varad Bhatnagar, with additional input from Tanuj Garg.
The cast also includes Priya Bapat, Kshitish Date, Kavin Dave, Sai Prasad, Harish Kulkarni and Sagar Yadav in key roles.
